That's a special track for Silber Records 'Droneuary 2024'
You can hear a layer created from the sound of an acoustic guitar in an exposition, that is classic for me. But soon a vintage synth arpeggios flows. The drone gives way to a shorter, floating sequences, and the rhythmic component accelerates the composition to a decent bpm. The melody becomes more intricate, incorporating increasingly distinct percussion, striking the guitar like a bell, culminating with voices from a distant past.
'Motherland Remembers You' is about consciousness and a look back with an understanding of what "back" means. I deliberately record this track fairly quickly, deciding to make it a kind of improvisation in a new direction for me, turning something familiar into something unusual. I hope to release other compositions that are even more different from the most of what I have done before. 'Motherland Remembers You' can be an intro to what will follow. Changing circumstances provide excellent motivation to transform oneself, fitting one's skills into an unexpected context.
